Miguel Angel Jiménez Nina

Miguel Jiménez is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Madrid with more than 17 years of experience focusing on geotechnical studies and geotechnical designs for mining projects. His work often addresses tailings dams, leach pads, mine-waste dumps, foundations of mining facilities (including storage facilities and crushers), and the preparation of mine-closure plans.

Miguel has worked on projects in Peru, Chile, Spain, and Mexico, where he has carried out laboratory work and field investigations, as well as numerical analyses of geotechnical structures (slope stability and foundations). Miguel possesses extensive knowledge of a wide range of geotechnical engineering principles, theories, and concepts. This knowledge enables him to design and propose solutions with an understanding of material properties and geotechnical engineering principles. He possesses excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organisational skills.
